All Stars 2011

 

The boys have been putting in 3 hrs a day (only Sundays off) for the last few weeks.

They have been conditioning, hitting, pitching, you name it.

So much for Summer Vacation...

 

 

 

This year they are  MAJOR All-Stars

 (12 year old level)

AKA:  Big Time, Road to Williamsport, The Big Dance etc.

 

 

Today was their 1^st game of the Double-Elimination Tournament for

The DISTRICT 30 Title

 

They won tonight...  and so the journey continues.

FINALLY

 

I was getting tired of looking at that lone sad front tooth hang on.  She didn't just loose her tooth she seriously lost it.  It fell out while walking/talking outside with my mom. 

I love that grin ~ 

 

Beach Picnic

 

My Mother called me early in the day to remind me of our picnic dinner at the Beach.

Honestly I was not looking forward to it.  I was feeling sorry for myself, dreading the drive and juggling my schedule.

But, my sisters were going and the other kids too ~ we were in.

 

 

We loaded up the wagon with our dinner, blankets and a baby:

We chose the grassy hill to eat dinner over the sandy beach (and the stairs).

The kids begged but we convinced them the wagon would never make it down or back up for that matter.

 

 

*Thank you Mom - Dinner was delicious.  We had lots of salads, couscous, chicken and fresh guacamole.  We took it slow on our walk back to the car...

Early this morning her Dad took her riding.

 

I was nervous.

She was fearless...

 
 

 

She did amazing - of course.

I don't think there is anything you can tell this girl NOT to do.

 

Time to Celebrate!

 

Yesterday Luke's class spent their last day together here...

 

 

They went swimming, zip lining, had lunch together and watched their Class DVD. 

Before everyone went their separate ways, each student received one more award...

 

 

 

Luke was awarded...  'Best Dressed'

 

 

 

After a quick change of clothes in the car - Luke was dropped at baseball practice. 

And the girls headed over to another party ~

 

 

 
 
...Syd didn't want to leave.

It's been an exhausted few weeks. 

Thank goodness Summer has officially started.  

     

Promotion (again)

 

The very next morning we were back off to school for another Promotion. 

 

 

 

This time is was Syd's turn...

We found our seats and they processioned in one at a time to the risers.

 

 

It was like Groundhog's Day -

  

 

 

 

 

She is just soooo excited to be in FIRST grade

because they have a BIG playground!

 

Our baby is growing up - ugh.

 

Promotion

Luke's 6th grade class was lined up - patiently waiting for the promotion ceremony to start.

We found our seats and pulled Syd out of class to join us....

 

 
 

 

Their class paraded in and one by one they were called up to receive their certificate...

 
 

 

 

The class isn't that big so they ran thru all of the kids pretty quickly.

As soon as they were done we took pics with Luke and some with his friends...

 

 

Such an exciting time for Luke. 

He will start 7th grade at Middle School in about 8 weeks. 

 

We are thrilled to see him take the next step.

Phillie Party

 

Our  Major Phillie's Season  has come to an end. 

That means - It's time to CELEBRATE...

 

The kids swam

We all ate BBQ - it was awesome!

 

 

  

We finished with some HOME PLATE chocolate cake & BASEBALL cupcakes
